Jane 2 Loft Bi-Sectional

A modern update to the classic Gus* Modern Jane Series, the small-scaled Jane 2 Loft Bi-Sectional retains the iconic, mid-century look while adding contemporary enhancements. This sectional is cleverly designed to allow the chaise to be positioned on the left or the right, so it can adapt to any room layout. Alternatively, the chaise can be easily separated to create a sofa and a free-floating lounge. Piped upholstery edges and button-tufted cushions create photogenic surface details that are enhanced by Jane 2's new, more refined proportions. A new wood base (available in light or dark wood finish) is inset on each piece, creating a sense of weightlessness that maximizes light and space. The frames are constructed with kiln-dried 100% FSC-Certified hardwood in support of responsible forest management.

Great quality but I preferred Gus's original "Jane" sofa dimensions and legs

This is the second Gus "Jane" sofa I have owned. The first sofa I purchased was the original Jane sofa; this time around I purchased the "Jane 2" sofa and sectional component. Gus maintains quality workmanship however, I must say I am disappointed with the design updates made from the original Jane sofa, and I wouldn't have bought the Jane 2 if I had had the opportunity to see it and sit in it in the store (versus online). Namely, the seat depth is longer (now way too long for me at 5'3), and I don't like the new leg design. The legs are quite long (once again making this unsuitable for a shorter person). On the positive side, I do appreciate that all the cushions are removable from the sofa, with removable cushion covers. Would I buy this exact sofa again? No - I would have kept looking. But I would buy the original Jane sofa if it were manufactured again.
